i have not found a single language, natural or constructed, which i've been able to learn to understand, where words in all contexts were not capable of being completely filled with ungodly quantities of whimsy - not that that's a bad thing.
bear in mind that, of natural languages, i have only been able to understand english (raised in england, to english-speaking parents, I'd be considered disabled if I didn't) and a handful of romance languages (basically italian, spanish, and catalan, all of which written only, if you try to talk out loud at me in any of those languages I'm cooked); maybe my horizons are just quite narrow.
also, and I hope this isn't oversharing given we have only known each other for (count 'em!) 3 days, i've found that the concept of «i» and «we» is completely muddled for us, we often say one meaning the other, or I might speak, as just now, as if Ellenor's childhood was my own (which works because we literally conceive of ourselves as diverging when each of us first appeared, and being ±the same person before that date)
